Our mission in Galway
For years, our team has been craving to diversify our talent and tap into what the rest of the world offers in innovation, technology, data science and beyond. After exploring options around the globe, we found Galway to be the best fit for a couple of reasons. One, the talent in Ireland is some of the best the world has to offer. Galway has put tons of resources into educating and developing the young minds in Galway through STEM programs and a focus on Technology and Data Science at its university hubs in NUI Galway and GMIT. Two, the IDA supported us from day one and really made it feel like we could hit the ground running. Last, and most important, we feel the people of Galway hold the same values at heart that we hold dear as a company.
Our dream is to create a second home in Galway that feels like another floor of our headquarters. That’s where I come in. I’ll be embedded in Galway over the next couple years. My focus will be creating a culture in Galway that shares our core values and operates in lock step with our engineering team in New York City. The most important thing for me will be to open the doors of communication, create a free flow of ideas, unblock the teams when they get stuck, and create a safe space where people feel inspired and excited to create!
